Guest Bios:
Cindy Bramble is the Director of Special Projects for Hospice Foundation of America where she manages their major grant projects, including the current NIH collaborative research study with Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Project Talk Trial. She serves as the community outreach project manager and a research assist for Project Talk, overseeing host recruitment and engagement and conducting research activities at events across the country. Cindy has over 20 years of experience working with community engagement endeavors related to improving health outcomes and has worked on collaborative advance care planning research projects with Penn State for the past 6 years.

Heather Costigan is the Senior Lab Manager for the Van Scoy Communication Lab at Penn State University. In this role, she manages a growing team with research projects related to advance care planning and end-of-life decision making in community-based and critical-care settings. Heather currently serves as the research project manager and research assistant for the current NIH R01 Project Talk Trial, overseeing data collection, data entry, data analysis and other research-related pieces of the trial. She has 12 years’ experience on research teams at Penn State related to health and well-being and has been with the Project Talk Trial for just over 1 year.
